Sisterhood means deep, emotional connections with the women in our chapter and is a value dear to our hearts! It's a sense of belonging, community and support. Alpha Phis cherish life-long friendships rooted in kindness, love and respect for one another. We like to think of our chapter as a home away from home and want girls to feel like they have a place where they belong on our campus. In order to bond and continuously grow closer, we hold monthly sisterhood activities that include: paint fights, football game potlucks, cookie decorating, movie nights, bluff hikes, roller blading, workout classes, iceskating, and so much more!
Formal
Every year, we have two formals where women dance the night away with their sisters.
Parent's Weekend
In the fall and spring, we host a weekend for parents and families to come visit their daughters and participate in fun activities together.
Retreat
Retreat is the highlight of the year as it allows the women of Alpha Phi to form even closer bonds.
Socials
No matter the letters, we stand together! Other than gaining sisterhood, you also become family with the Greek community. A couple times every semester, we get together with a fraternity or sorority to bond through fun activities such as: grill outs, elephant gift exchanges, bowling, and more.
Greek Week
Greek Week is one of the best times of the year! It's a fun-filled week of friendly contests with the other sororities and fraternities on campus. Alpha Phi loves being a part of something where all Greeks can come together and show their passion about being Greek.
Greek Wedding
Every spring, we keep our annual tradition of hosting a Greek wedding. For this special event, we nominate one of the fraternity men from DSP & one woman from Alpha Phi to "get married." This year, we had a blast at our safari themed wedding.
